A broad peninsula between the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea is situated in Asia Minor. The Romans named it Asia Minor. The Asian section of Turkey is also Asia Minor. Anatolia is its Greek name.
There are more biblical locations in Turkey than there are in other Middle Eastern countries. When we say Anatolia, it is the first place that has holy (saint) places which is referred to the Bible.
The main point is that Anatolia’s association with the Bible starts from the beginning of the Old Testament. Nearly 60% of the names of the locations in Turkey are mentioned in the Bible.
